Can the UPPAbaby Vista be used for newborns?

As mentioned, the Vista can pair with an infant car seat, making it ideal for quick transitions on the go. However, for extended stroller use, it is best to place newborns in a fully flat position, which supports proper spine development and ensures open airways.

UPPAbaby offers two newborn-friendly solutions for the Vista:

• The UPPAbaby Infant SnugSeat: This infant insert fits into the Vista's included toddler seat, creating a flat, newborn-approved position. It’s a budget-friendly option that allows parents to use the existing seat with added support.
• The UPPAbaby Bassinet: The bassinet provides the best environment for newborns. In addition to a completely flat surface, it offers protection and privacy on all sides. The aerated bottom promotes airflow, and it is even approved for overnight sleep. The bassinet is a versatile two-in-one solution—perfect for stroller use and, when paired with the UPPAbaby Bassinet Stand, it can double as a bedside sleep system. The stand also offers versatility converting to a hamper after bassinet use is discontinued. 

How to use the UPPAbaby Vista as a single stroller:

The UPPAbaby Vista offers straightforward use as a single stroller. Its included stroller seat is designed for children from 3 months up to 50 pounds and features a reversible design, allowing for both parent-facing and world-facing orientations.

For added convenience, the seat includes a one-handed adjustable recline with multiple positions, as well as an adjustable footrest to ensure comfort at any age. Parents can also integrate UPPAbaby Vista Upper Adapters to elevate the seat, bringing little ones closer for easier bonding moments.

Converting the UPPAbaby Vista to a double stroller:

The UPPAbaby Vista converts into a double stroller, suitable for a newborn and toddler or two seated children, with the addition of an UPPAbaby Rumble Seat and Vista Upper Adapters.

• The Rumble Seat includes its own set of color-coded adapters that attach to the lower part of the Vista frame for easy assembly. Once installed, these adapters can remain in place even when folding the stroller.
• The Upper Adapters are used at the top of the Vista frame to create more space, allowing for a comfortable double-stroller configuration.

Important Note:
The Rumble Seat can only be used on the bottom of the stroller, and the Vista’s included main seat can only be positioned on top. A common mistake parents make is attempting to attach the main seat in the lower position, expecting the bassinet to be used on top. However, in a double configuration, the bassinet can only be placed in the lower position.

Parents preferring to keep their newborn close, may opt to utilize the  Infant SnugSeat in the main seat to accommodate their baby while their big kid enjoys independence down below in the Rumble Seat.

To position the bassinet on the lower part of the frame, parents will need Vista Lower Adapters. These adapters are the same ones included with the Rumble Seat V2+ and Rumble Seat V3, making it a smart investment to purchase the Rumble Seat—even if not immediately needed—to save on the extra cost of lower adapters.

For two seated children, the Vista can accommodate:

• Up to 50 lbs in the main seat (upper position with Upper Adapters)
• Up to 40 lbs in the Rumble Seat (lower position with Lower Adapters)

Both seats maintain the ability to reverse and recline, offering multiple configurations for parents.

In a double configuration, the Vista maintains its integrity as a travel system, offering flexibility to accommodate an infant car seat. Parents can attach an infant car seat in the top position using the Upper Adapters with the Rumble Seat on the bottom or place the infant car seat in the lower position using the Lower Adapters while keeping the main seat on top of the stroller.

Can the UPPAbaby Vista be used for twins?

How to clean the UPPAbaby Vista:

• Clean frame with a damp cloth and a mild detergent; dry thoroughly. DO NOT use abrasives.
• If the stroller chassis parts have been exposed to salt water we recommend that they be rinsed with fresh (tap) water as soon as possible to avoid corrosion. Always dry frame if wet.
• All fabrics are washable. (read interior care tag for washing instructions)
• Spot clean or hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Dry flat and away from direct sunlight before re-use or storage. DO NOT bleach, iron or dry clean.
• To extend the life of your stroller’s fabric, keep it clean and do not leave it in direct sunlight for long periods of time.
• DO NOT fold or store your stroller if it is damp or wet, nor store it in a damp environment.

Maintenance:

• Strollers require regular user maintenance. Regularly check all connecting hardware (rivets, screws, etc.) for tightness and security.
• Inspect your stroller periodically. Seek prompt repairs, replacing worn or broken parts as needed. Check all safety devices, locks and harnesses for correct and secure operation. Never continue to use a product that is structurally unsound.
• Only UPPAbaby replacement parts should be used. It may be unsafe to use parts supplied by another manufacturer.
